Who the heck am I?

Glad you asked! I'm Marissa Knudsen! I am a storytelling photographer based in the rolling hills of the Ozarks! I live in Branson, MO but my roots run deep in a tiny town in Newton County, AR. I am a wife to my sweet hubby, Kyle. We've been married for 10 years & we have four beautiful, wild children, Emmett, Nora, Maren, & Hallie Jane!

Growing up my granny ALWAYS had her camera. She has totes upon totes of photo albums. Full to the brim. Every time I go to Granny's house I find myself plopped on the floor flipping through all the old photos that I've already seen a million times. I am immediately transported back in time, remembering the exact day, the smells, what country songs were playing on the FM radio. All of those moments frozen in time for me to come back to over and over.

So, here I am, your modern day story teller. Just freezing time for YOU. I just want to pause time & bottle it all up. As a mother, I know just how fleeting time really is.

HOW'D I GET STARTED?

My kids are my inspiration. My first born is the reason I bought my first camera. I wanted to document his little life & I actually started with vlogging on Youtube. I wanted to buy a new camera so I decided to do some photoshoots to raise the money to buy one but that's when I realized my passion for photography & helping others document their littles growing up as too!

It's crazy to think that was about 7 years ago now that I decided to just give it a go! It's been such an honor to capture couples & families over the years; to watch their families grow & the little ones grow up! It's why I do what I do!

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME

I am a 9 wing 1 on the enneagram, which means I'm super chill, I don't like to ruffle feathers, but I'm also a little bit of a perfectionist. I'm very goofy/odd (think Jessica Day from new girl) & you either love it & vibe with me *or* you think I'm nuts. I talk a lot when I'm nervous.

I love me a good dirty soda, but make it diet of course. My comfort shows are New Girl, The Office, & Grey's Anatomy (gotta throw in one serious show every now & then).

I LOVE Jesus! I'm a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I LOVE fitness! and I LOVE my family!
