Telling Their Story


I am a huge fan of romance novels. There's honestly nothing better than finding a good book with a couple that you are obsessed with, you just crave waking up so you can escape your reality and live vicariously through this adorable imaginary couple. Well, Katie and Brendan are the real life version of that couple. They are so adorable, so beautiful, and so in love. *cue teary heart eyes*. So I want to take you on a little adventure of their love story, the novel where they created life.

Chapter 1: The Bridge


When Katie suggested we adventure to Parker-Hickman Farmstead for their maternity session I said "frick yeah!" I am always down for a change of scenery! On the way to the farmstead we stopped just past a beautiful old bridge and parked on the side of the road. We hiked down the hill to a rocky dried up river bed and that's when I saw the arch of the bridge. *cue internal squealing*. It couldn't have been more moody and perfect.

Chapter 2: The Secret Swimming Hole


Katie + Brendan told me they knew of a swimming hole that was just a short walk down the river bed, on the way there was a tree that had fallen, I immediately saw the potential so I asked Katie if she felt comfy climbing up onto the tree to sit, naturally Brendan was a buff guy and lifted her dainty little pregnant self effortlessly and delicately placed her on the tree. After we captured *magic* on the tree we moseyed our way down to the water and there Arkansas showed off her beauty. The water, the rocks, the greenery. It was breath taking.

Chapter 3: The Farmstead


After picking my jaw off of the ground, we hiked back to the cars and drove a little ways down the dirt road to the Parker-Hickman Farmstead. This place was amazing. I felt like I had gone back in time, the property really felt like it was frozen in time. I'll leave this final chapter with less words, and more photos.
